Vancouver Day 3

We went over the Lion's Gate Bridge to North Vancouver today. We visited the Capilano suspension bridge and walked around the trees and boardwalks.

Next stop was Mountain Equipment Coop and Canadian Tire to pick up some last minute camping supplies then a trip through traffic back to the condo.

Allison Anderson, Natalie's cousin, and her boyfriend Adrian are coming over for supper tonight. The Canucks game starts in a couple of hours and the city is vibrating. Should be an exciting night!

Vancouver Day 2

Drove down to see BC place and Rogers Arena. Canuck fever is going strong. We went into the Canuck store and they were selling jerseys like crazy, only $220 each! Alex bought Henrik and Daniel Sedin mini-sticks.

We went to a chinese garden next that Nannie wanted to visit then we headed back to the condo for lunch.

After lunch we headed down to the waterfront to see the olympic flame thingy and Canada Place. We then walked up to Robson St to window shop. Everything here is expensive so the windows were as far as we got.

Vancouver day 1

We arrived in Vancouver at 8pm local time, midnight to us, so we were tired when we reached our condo hotel called "Shangri-La". It's the tallest building in Vancouver and goes for $500/night in peak time. We're not paying that of course and we're sharing it with Nannie and Dowa.

We went to Stanley Park today and the Vancouver Aquarium. The aquarium was awesome and we got to see the dolphin show. We drove around the park and saw the Totem poles and went for a short hike. There are some huge Western Red Cedar trees!

Nat and I are heading out for a walk soon then we might call it a day and rest up from yesterday.

The preparation

We fly to Vancouver tomorrow and the Pilot (Honda) is there now. Barb and Preston drove out a few weeks ago and we are meeting them there.
Final preparations are going on now. We only need to pack our clothes and essentials as everything else is already out there. The kids are excited, as are we, to get going. We have no concrete schedule but we plan to be back mid t0 late June. We will try to keep this blog updated regularly.
